Your connection to Haiti relief organizations

Haiti Anesthesia Relief was born from the desire of National Anesthesia Services' team to help the people of Haiti after the recent earthquake. It’s very easy to send money, but National wanted to go a step further and utilize our connections with locum tenen CRNAs and Anesthesiologists and bring everybody together in reaching out to the Haitian community. After talking to many relief organizations, we discovered that the most effective way to make a difference is to manage a web page that connects you with the different volunteer opportunities. Please reach out to one that speaks to you and make your application directly with them. Once you have applied, please contact National Anesthesia Services immediately at 800-642-1999 and let us know which relief effort you have applied to so that we can stay in touch as you go through the process. After you have been accepted and assigned a mission, we will be able to provide more details on how we can aid you in your trip. We will be updating this site periodically with more information and organizations that will need your anesthesia services. Thank you so much for your compassion and for your support.

Many people have contacted MSF to inquire about volunteering to join MSF's response to the earthquake in Haiti. They sincerely appreciate this desire to help assist the people who have been affected by the catastrophe. While they appreciate this generous response to the emergency, please understand that they cannot immediately send new volunteers to Haiti.

MSF's ability to respond swiftly to emergencies like this one is rooted in their existing pool of MSF aid workers who have agreed to be available to work with them on short notice. These staff are selected to join their pool through an extensive application and screening process.

They are always seeking applications from qualified professionals to join their pool of dedicated staff working in more than 60 countries. If you are a US citizen or US resident, and are interested in working with MSF - either in Haiti or other countries - they encourage you to visit the Work in the Field section of their website to learn more about their recruitment criteria and process, then follow the instructions to apply.
